Kerry Tidmore Bio
  Kerry Tidmore has logged over 3500 hours in high performance military and civilian aircraft over the course of 20 + years in aviation and has over 8 years experience as a USAF primary jet instructor training tomorrow's Top Guns and Thunderbirds the most advanced techniques and procedures in aerobatics and formation aerobatics. Kerry has also flown over 150 aerobatic flight demonstrations in the United States Military's most advanced primary flight trainer, the T-6A Texan II, in front of nearly 2 million spectators at military and civilian air shows across the country. He served his last active duty assignment as Demo Pilot and Team Chief for Air Education and Training Command's (AETC) T-6A Texan II East Coast Demo Team from February 2003 thru October 2004, then left active duty after 11 years to continue a career as a pilot in the United States Air Force Reserve (USAFR) continuing to fly theT-6A as an Instructor Pilot (IP) and Functional Check Flight (FCF) Pilot. Kerry is the holder of an ATP certificate, Turbojet Flight Engineer's certificate and a Commercial certificate. He has an Aerobatic Competency Card (Level II), and is type rated in the DC-10 and B-737. In addition to his many responsibilities as a member of the United States Air Force Reserves, Kerry flies full-time for FedEx Express on the DC-10. Kerry has first-hand knowledge and experience as an Aircraft Commander (Captain) flying large multi-crew aircraft on very complex Global Reach missions in a variety of foreign countries with challenging terrain and weather conditions. Coupling this with a vast background flying aerobatics in high performance military jets and civilian aircraft gives him the unique ability to relate to pilots of just about all airframe types and experience. Kerry's approach to aviation stems from a high degree of skill and knowledge in the aircraft he flies, plus a solid foundation in safety consciousness and common sense. Kerry believes firmly in respecting past experiences learned through the unfortunate mistakes of others in the business, and striving to always continually improve your flying skills by utilizing the best principles of both Operational Risk Management (ORM) and Cockpit Resource Management (CRM) techniques to perform at an optimal level of situational awareness at all times.
